    So that provokes another question does it not? why isn't Davy Propper occupying that position for us? We know he has goals in him, he has scored a fair few for his country when playing as a number 10, and it's very much what's missing from our team, goals. Gross hasn't been able to come up...

    Indeed, he was by far and away the leading scorer in the Eridvisie last season, so what does Hughton do as soon as he arrives at the Amex? That's correct, play him out on the wing. :facepalm:

    It's that last bit that completely riles me, if we were beaten by a better side on the day, having put up a hell of a fight and tried as hard as we possibly could, then fair enough, but we were beaten before we even kicked off.

    Which as we all know . . . isn't going to happen.. That's why l knew we were done for on Tuesday evening when Cardiff scored their first. We aren't capable of scoring one goal, never mind the two that would have been needed to win the game at that stage.

    Certainly virtually every Premier League appearance has been based on ultra conservative defensive stability as you put it. That wasn't true when we were a Championship side though, and in out promotion season we were free scoring.
