Clearly does have the respect and confidence of the players. Any comments after today that he has lost the dressing room are just for shit stirring purposes.
I did cover both points in my post you quoted but, in addition, if there is unrest how do we know he isn't sorting it out, i.e. that it wouldn't otherwise be worse.

RE. Hughton's gestures to advance, I would say it they more than occasional last night, but was that a sign of frustration with the situation as a whole, rather than aimed directly at the players...
He has certainly lost a significant chunk of fans, maybe the majority, but what makes you think he has lost the players?
Clearly morale is rock bottom, but why is it anymore than that? Not saying that you are wrong but I don't really see that myself.
