It’s about balance.
We “took it” to Burnley, Fulham and Bmuff, as CH abandoned his cautious approach = an avalanche of goals conceded and three defeats.
We also need to stay solid, with more than just DS protecting an increasingly vulnerable Dunk and Duffy.
This.
Cardiff’s 5 powerful midfielders, would bully and outnumber that foursome.
CH would in effect be preparing his own P45.
CH won’t be playing that naive formation and personnel.
I get your point.
I’d be interested to know if our FB’s adventured forward leaving the huge gaps when we beat CP twice, Everton, NUFC, West Ham and Wolves.
My own recollection is that they stayed in their defensive shape for the vast majority of those matches.
We’re not the standard of any of those clubs, miles behind, they have great CB’s and DM’ers who can cover when a FB flies forward.
We play a flat back 4, where it’s vital that Bernardo and Montoya stay compact with Dunk and Duffy. If Montoya ventures forward, someone else needs to be on the...
Deservedly so. Stains and Bmuff repeatedly counter attacked down our right, as Montoya was left 50 yards up field after another inept ‘attacking’ move. The number one duty of any FB is to defend; Montoya doesn’t.
"Ryan
Bruno - Duffy - Dunk - Bernado
Ali J - Stephens - Proper - March
Gross
Murray"
Pleased with the return of Bruno, Murray and March.
CM is a major concern - Gross and Propper will struggle to support Stephens when their midfield attack us in numbers.
