My Goldstone introduction was a 6-0 win over Colchester in Jan 76. Liked it, liked it straight away. It wasn’t just the winning football, it was the buzz of 16,000 gathering in one place with one unifying cause, the chants, the stadium.
My second game was near there in Feb 76 (an evening league match where we beat CP 2-0, circa 33,500 there, the match “Seagulls” was invented apparently).
I missed that as very young (didn’t even know BHAFC existed.... shock, horror), but my older brothers did, and told me all about it. Plus there’s the odd old NSC thread about it.
I assume you were also there for the 32,000 to 33,000 plus home matches from 1976 onwards under Taylor, then...
This.
27,000 (but very soon to be 33,400) who’ll be spending countless hours travelling on the day and the cost of it all. All sold in a few days.

Just logged in, 2,025 in the queue, but straight in.
Lower deck - between 0 and 6 seats available per block.
Club deck & exec boxes - all sold out.
Upper deck - between 0 and 489 seats available per block.

There are still 10,000 seats left with huge blocks available, enabling the people in the scenario you mention to get sorted next...
