Izquierdo, Locadia, Gross, Andone and Jahanbakhsh (yes, I realise some aren’t wingers, but CH played them there at times), are simply several levels down on wing play, compared to Solly.
Switching mucked NUFC around. Such was his threat, they put two or three players on SM down the right (but the little magician, still came out on top), so it confused their defending.
The bottom line - it sucked NUFC bodies back in numbers, they stopped running the game.
This season he’s been a constant shining light, in an often inept first team.
If CH gets ‘clever’ and drops him, he’ll lose so many of those who are loyal.
Widemen by nature aren’t, but Solly’s been more consistent this season than all our other wide players. Plus he’s by far the best at eliminating the threat of ‘dangerous’ opposition players.
