I've never hear that the time you wait between reps is affected by your body type. Surely the amount of rest you need between sets is down to how close the weight is to you one rep max, and how many reps you're doing.

There's an old friendly guy at the gym who did that when he saw me (although he said 99, 100). He then told me I'd need to lighten the weight if I wanted to lift it, and went on to explain he wants to be massive so he scares the shit out of children...
