I'm not too sure I'm getting your point. You seem to be pointing out that the areas which have had a restriction placed on cars aren't doing it in a uniform manner? Shirley the whole point isn't making the remedy to too much congestion 'one size fits all' as that attitude towards cars is...

Not to mention going car free would put all the verge clearers out of work, as they'll no longer be mountains of McDonalds boxes, Costa cups and Red Bull cans at the side of the road.

Perhaps if you stopped faffing about on pedestrian crossings concentrating on your hands, you wouldn't be such a liability to all traffic.

I find it hard to believe, despite his good post, Piltdown needs to send out emergency large equipment on a same day basis, on a Sunday. But hey I don't do his job so I can't comment, and will take it a face value Again it's 12 Sundays a year, pretty much only in daylight hours, yet...

Are you saying:- a - You regularly deliver large pieces of equipment from 7:30 am to 6pm on the first Sunday of each month? & ii - You are incapable of rearranging that delivery date and time to literally any other time in the week, month or year?

Why can't they just take their time and get it right? It's almost as if you want 'car free' to fail. As said there's no quick fixes here it's a generational thing but for change to come about it must start somewhere.

Because doing feck all is quite literally doing nothing. It'll take generational change to get people out of their 2 tonne death wagons, and that has to start somewhere. Chichester can be very proud of at least trying something different, esp as it heaps more shame on towns and cities in...

Good to see somewhere in Sussex trying to reduce, traffic, pollution and the 1,200 annual deaths attributed to speeding cars. https://www.chichester.co.uk/news/environment/chichester-mp-fully-supports-ambition-for-car-free-day-1-8830990
