His back-heel to Murray was sublime, and still the best deadball option we have. Locadia's free-kick near the end shows the importance of having a player who can take a free kick.
I think we deserved a point. 3 shots on target apiece but Muzza blazed two close range efforts off target, 8 corners to their 4. Bottom line - another defeat and Gross with a knock.
This has been the problem, we've been good in patches vs Burnley but lost, started OK vs Cardiff but lost, started brilliant vs Fulham but lost. We need a stick of Brighton Rock 90 minute performance that when you cut through it you see the words "We wunt be druv".
I disagree that Hughton is out of his depth - he's kept us and other sides up in the Prem before and this season we should have enough at home to survive and Cardiff, Fulham and Hudds are woeful.
What worries me about him is the shocking away form and the failure to get our record signings...
Semantics. Bottom line - our form is sh1t and ALL our "big" signings are on the bench, and I mean ALL. Numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 record signings in the history of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club. Benched.
Either:
1. Hughton is completely wrong and Stephens, Gross, March, Knockaert and Bong ARE better than Bissouma, Bernardo, Izquierdo, Locadia, Jahanbaksh, OR:
2. Our recruitment team is f*cking useless and we've spunked £65 million on binners.
Same line-up that has relegation away form in 30 matches, but with a worse right-back. Logic dictates the outcome will be a Leicester win by 2 goals - 2-nil or 3-1.
What does Hughton think will be different this time?
I don't know who is worse at repeating the same proven failed recipe -...
