Some might say that those fees for Locadia and Ali J were still low by current (insane) Premier League standards. And I imagine their wages are lower than, say, Solanke's at Bournemouth.
You can't blame CH if the club isn't willing to move beyond a certain wage structure. For Palace and Bournemouth it isn't so much 'no choice - pay up or be relegated' as a conscious choice to invest in transfer fees and player wages over infrastructure. The way Premier League finances work...

I thought only Cardiff and Southampton were true must-wins, but Huddersfield is now firmly in that category - just to stop the slide.
I'm quite happy with that - better than them turning up at ours without a win in 20-odd games. Wolves were abysmal by all accounts and have now lost both games against Hudds.
