Resting Glenn Murray on Saturday would be an idiotic decision imo given the circumstances (striker shortages; the gap until next match).
I wouldn’t consider Chris Hughton to be an idiot.
Not really. No-one at the club is an idiot. It's just this FA ticketing policy which, given historical data, ticketing pricing etc is, well... let's say, nonsensical.
(That said, not siding with STHers who are demanding 'their seat' for cup games).
I don't want the club to lose money unnecessarily. I do think the club has been over-cautious (again), and that ESU could - and should - have been on sale on day one with zero risk.
That's the v last word I'm writing about it. Probably.
The "sit in my seat" from some fans is clearly nonsense.
I don't think PB's reply covers why the club doesn’t at least open ESU on day one of sales. Surely they can predict a 18k+ crowd?!
The rush of sales in ESU today has PROVED many fans simply want to sit in upper. (No-one's rushing because...
You're not very imaginative then. All lower levels and ESU open on day one. That's all it needed.
What forecast?!
Well I'd certainly be peeved if the club refused to open the North Stand at the Goldstone until the South sold out...
Except if the ESU opens now, some will be in the lower who wished to be in upper. Some, no doubt, will be split from friends. Some have been left waiting until final week to make plans. And some will have now decided not to bother.
Don't know how anyone outside the club could defend such a...
Because it's a crap process, which was proved wrong against West Brom and Coventry, which were both very well attended.
The club has seemingly come up with a ultra-conservative strategy due to the Palace game which was poorly attended for very, very specific reasons.
The drip-feeding process...
If you read this thread, loads of fans are waiting for upper tiers to open.
Most would have predicted 20k+, so the club could have at least opened East Upper straight away (West Upper hidden from cameras, obv),
Edit: And I'd guess they still will, btw, so just wasting time.
