When I first got into hifi, as a teenager and earning for the first time, my first set up was that Systemdek IIX I mentioned early, a pair of Mission 70's, a Nad tuner, and as you mention a Nad amp, the Nad 3020e integrated amp.
I remember I got the Nad amp as my older mate had the original Nad...
Loving that paint mixer
As we're still on the subject of coloured vinyl. This was the first piece to join my collection. In fact, aside from that Binkbeats that I got recently, it's one of the few pieces of coloured vinyl I own I think. And I have no picture discs whatsoever.
Yeah, they are dj turntables. I bought them as a pair years ago. I used to pair them with a Roksan Caspian power amp and a Citronic 7 channel mixer. Back then I used to do my own little mixes so had a cobbled together hybrid hifi set up if you like.
The power amp eventually gave up the ghost...
Sorry to thread hog. But I promise this'll do for now. Two birds with one stone.
My turntable, and the Albion blue slab of vinyl. Kid in a sweet shop springs to mind
Thanks. I agree, I love seeing what others have as hifi too. My trouble is I could spend hours on a thread just discussing hifi, hence why I said I should bring it back to vinyl for a bit
I might indulge though and post a pic of my turntable, as it's the vinyl thread, but also sneak in a...
I saw Binkbeats live in Brighton last year. My first bit of vinyl from him though. As you say, lovely album covers! Very minimal sleeve notes though as they're EP's. All three parts of the...Private Matter Previously Unavailable...set.
Edit: Just cracked opened Part 2 and it's an...
To bring it back to vinyl for a bit.
My Father's Day present from our eldest arrived today. :)
Edit: Just seen the above posts about accidents. Sorry to hear that. I meant bring it back to vinyl from hifi for a bit, not from talking about accidents. Sorry if it came across that way.
More playing with image resizing.
Here's the back of the book
I started cataloguing like this from a teen when I began collecting. It's gone by the wayside in recent years. I've never ordered my collection alphabetically or by year or anything. And the cd collection has never been...
I can't seem to upload any photos from my phone or laptop. I always used to be able to.
Just says file failed. No indication whether it's due to size or anything. Anyone any ideas?
I ordered mine as and when I bought them. Catalogued them in a book too. But also made the mistake of putting a numbered sticker on each one too
When I get home later I'll try and take some photos and see if I can post them here.
Nice
I'm having a vinyl day too. I still use one of my old Vestax PDT 5000's. Only use one now as I don't go in for mixing anymore. I used to have a Systemdex IIX years ago, but moved to the Vestax decks as wanted direct drive. Used to have to take the platter off the Systemdek...
