Well no one knows for sure which tweet(s) this incident refers to.
If it's the one I think it is, there was no abuse as such, and nothing for the police to be bothered with. Just an off colour remark, no doubt trying to be funny. At which point righteous offence was taken and a crusade started...
1 - Someone tried to be 'funny' and original on twitter.
2 - They misjudged their material.
3 - Someone else took 'righteous offence'.
4 - A crusade started and the wheels of justice were activated.
5 - BHAFC had to be seen to be doing something.
Everyone probably wishes it hadn't happened, and...
I assume it was the comment on twitter in which the poster decided to use the name of a respected dead player as a way of describing how poor he felt the draw was.
eg 'The draw is really *name of player*' - or similar.
It made little sense grammatically, obviously caused offence, was very poor...
