I am asking because I am just unclear who would play left back if Bernardo and Bong were unavailable. In every other position we have a decent option, I think.

Balogun can play rightback for sure, but on the left I don't know... Who is our leftback main man in the U23s now that Cox is at Northampton on loan ?

Players who count as over 21 have to be named in the 25 man squad to play. However, they still may be young enough to qualify for the U23 Dev squad and not have to count as overage for that.

Forgotten man Mathias Normann, or the injured Ahannach, are our 2 extra players who are over 21 and need to be nominated in the squad to play. Everyone else counts as U21 and could play anytime without being in the squad.

We do have an option of an extra year - but that will probably just be used to ensure we get a fee.
