Not referring to this crash at all, if a helicopter's mechanism for opposed torque completely fails mid air, will the results always be catestrophic?

I last looked at this thread at the weekend, when all comments were respectful. Surprised to see that since then, bitchy and mischievious comments have been made about all sorts of stuff. I always thought NSC was in the main a classy forum, compared to many others around.

RIP to all the victims. The owners were/are gentle people, with class. In a sometimes sleazy sport, it was an unusual move (under Pearson's reign) where the owners sacked the young players who'd disrespected the Thai people on a club trip there.

The club’s owners are dead according to someone on foxestalk ... their relative works in the carpark at the crash scene. Hopefully wrong.
