No, I meant your suggestion that you cut out the middle man and boo players. I’ll clap cheer and support Locadia for all I’m worth but at present I can’t deny my opinion of him. Same as CMS, cheered him to the rafters but knew he wasn’t good enough ultimately.
The strength of your squad will determine how many appearances players get. I’m sure we’d all be delighted if there is nothing to choose between our wingers and forwards allowing the manager flexibility in selection and tactics. But only if that doesn’t weaken the side. Why the thread on Locadia...
The list of reasons Locadia isn’t shining continues to grow. Rest of the team aren’t fast enough, formation, type of ball into him, type of player around him, easier opposition, bigger goals maybe? Unfair he’s not had a chance against a team down to 10?
I’m not sure with Andone closer to...
With Izquierdo, he dazzled, from his shot on the turn at Watford then sprint back to make a tackle, he had you on your toes. There was visual evidence to be optimistic he had what it takes.
There will be no history rewrite with Locadia, because he has looked crap. Even those behind him are...
Izzy had to make an impression with very few minutes as a substitute at the start of the season, and each time he did you could see something there to get excited about, his destroying of Joe Hart was on the cards and fulfilling a bit of promise we were already seeing. Gross felt he didn't have...
Lets not rewrite history to make an argument.
Propper and Gross looked decent from the off, both were impressive. Izquierdo came on for his debut for 9mins against Watford, and looked exciting from the minute he got on the pitch.
We need a new thread on reasons Locadia is not performing to his potential:
1. Not enough starts or minutes on pitch
2. Wrong tactics by the rest of the team
3. GM ruining his confidence by scoring goals and being effective
4. Confidence undermined with better players being selected ahead of him...
It’s not hate, it’s utter disappointment that he doesn’t appear to be anywhere near good enough. I’d be surprised if gets in the 23s playing like that.
He looked like someone who’d won a prize bet with Paddy Power and got the chance to play in a Premier League game, that’s what he looked like. He looked a million miles from a player who was just off the pace or lacking match sharpness.
Locadia coming on was like how Chris Froome felt in Le Tour last year when he wrecked his bike, ran up the hill only to be given a Mavic service bike with the wrong pedals for his shoes...
