Really, are you sure about that - have you really listened to The Cure? Granted The Cure may be a bit more "art school" than the Smiths, but the delivery is on a par, if not excelled by Mr Smith and his band of merry men from Sussex (or elsewhere).

No sorry, Robert Smith's delivery is so much more upbeat than Morrisey's - lyricaly they may be equals, but delivery wise I give Smith the nod...

To celebrate one of Sussex's finest exports I pose the question. Are The Cure Englands best ever modern day rock / pop / shoegazer / whatever band, like ever?
