[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

    26,966... hmm. 26966 26/9/66 26th September 1966 26th September 1966 was the 269th day of 1966 269/66 26966 Is that it...?

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

I make the unsold seats as something like... 1,200 in open areas and 2,750 in currently closed areas (assuming shelf has sold reasonably well to clubs/schools). If further sales are roughly equal to the number of seats currently showing as sold that are not actually sold, then we would be...

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

Agreed. Only 66 sold in WSU since 02.46 today. I am not at all surprised by this slow down. Having decided on the Coventry allocation I don't think anyone thought we would sell out the whole of the rest of the stadium at the ticket prices set. IMHO, still the right decision to open up WSU...

    "Today, 02:46" :lolol:

Given the original stance, I am amazed they decided to open WSU based on an estimation of likely demand from now on in. I sincerely hope they are rewarded by acceptable ticket sales for taking this newly positive approach . Looks like around 100 an hour were selling earlier today.

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

Something a bit like this from Swansea to their fans...? "WITH SWANSEA CITY’S ALLOCATION OF AWAY TICKETS SOLD OUT FOR THE FORTHCOMING PREMIER LEAGUE FIXTURE AT BRIGHTON, THE CLUB HAS RECEIVED NUMEROUS QUERIES REGARDING THE SALE PROCESS. The club appreciate that a number of supporters were...

That doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm not sure McDonalds would measure their sales strategy on the basis of being happy if everyone who wants a Big Mac can get one.

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

I started typing another hilarious "Barber is definitely doing it out of spite now" post but sensibly have changed it for this one... It is hard to understand why there is so little promotion of the game. The positive ticket sales (both from Coventry and now from Albion fans) are a great...

Not according to the most important "P" it hasn't. Apparently there were SIX mentions of the Coventry match in the last programme alone...!!! :)

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

I don't think WSU will be needed but it would be nice to see ESU well populated by the end of all this. In a radical move the club could even publicise that some of the best seats in the house have become newly available...

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

From Wikipedia: "The West Stand is a three-tiered stand, which holds 11,833 fans, including 14 luxury boxes and the premium fans' 1901 Club. The East Stand (including the Family Stand) holds 13,654 fans, with 10% reserved for away fans during cup games."

Not club bashing at all. Constructive debate. Now we are a PL giant this will happen again. What do people think about whether we should find a way of offering more than 4.5K to a team that wants to come for a big day out in the cup...? Coventry obviously had demand of 8-10K for this game -...

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

Interesting thoughts. Coventry could in fact have had the whole of the East Stand. With the rest of the ground sold out to Albion fans that would have created quite a spectacle and atmosphere.

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

Hopefully lessons will be learned by the club and in future they won't need telling what to do by NSC...!!! Only yesterday Barber was sticking firm to his lines including "What about the Palace game?" and talking down the potential demand for tickets for this match. I don't know what your...

[Albion] ESU and WSU open for Coventry game

The whole point of this thread is that they precisely HAVEN'T done that. They made a completely wrong call on the demand for tickets for this match and it will now COST THE CLUB MONEY. Directly because they will sell fewer tickets than they could have done and indirectly because they have...

Now there's an idea. ESU needs to be supplied with streamers.

I'm not sure kingcole would agree with you. He is going to be very busy over the next few days. We can also have fun making predictions about how many ESU tickets will actually sell. Bozza could supply a prize for the nearest guess. I reckon 1,497.
