Oh right, thanks! I've lived up the road from the D of Ys for years and never knew this :nono:
Walking past the other evening when a little lad screamed "Look Mummy, the Lady's legs keep lighting up!" :)
I don't feel I need to after sharing a train carriage with a gaggle of American girls loudly giving the low-down of the entire plot from start to finish :)
I saw Dark River recently, loved the filming, scenery and music, but found the story quite disturbing, especially the end.
Nothing else planned at the moment
Has anyone seen First Reformed? Can't make my mind up if worth seeing, it sounds a bit 'same old' and when the weather's so good it seems a shame to be inside (in a dark room).
Well .... as I had to get an engineer out yesterday I managed to get to the DOYs for the final screening (just). The engineer took 2 and half hours to do a 30min job (not their fault .... ) so I arrived 30mins late just as the film began.
Difficult film to review without giving too much away...
Ian McEwan admitted to having pebbles from Chesil Beach on his desk as he wrote the story, a group of conservationists were OUTRAGED and the council tried to fine him ... he put them back :)
