Probably marinate was the wrong word as everybody knows a curry improves with leaving a couple of days and the flavour and taste increase so that is what I shall do. Not sure what the correct word is for that process.
It is a choice between chicken or prawns but neither will be reheated as such as it is the curry sauce that is pre cooked,marinated and reheated the chicken or prawns are added at the end of the cooking on NYE while the rice is cooking with sufficient time for them to cook.
Making a chinese Chicken Curry to take down to sister in laws for small gathering about 9 of us. Will make it Saturday and leave to marinate then re heat on NYE.
