I think that his best chance is as a late defensive substitution to bottle up any midfield threat when the oppopnents are pushing for a goal and we are hanging in there.
That is my thinking and due to his electric pace they couldnt afford to stand next to him, If he was on the spot they, or at least one, would need to be on the edge of the circle which would give him space rather than right up tight on him.
I kniow that it has been mentioned many times but shouldnt we now try leaving IZQUIERDO on the halfway line when defending a corner as he wont win a header but his tremendous pace would cause great problems if the ball was released to him quickly.
