Hmmm.
On the missing ST point: I'd agree if they missed last season having held one for, say, the previous 5 years. I wouldn't agree if they missed the first season at the AMEX and have held one for the other 5 seasons (ie they want to have 180 LP as a starting point). I'm not sure about...
Yep, that's the point he's made. I haven't addressed it because I'm still wondering what the club can reasonably do about it. I'm finding it hard to come up with anything other than "if they didn't go, they don't get the points, which may adversely affect their ability to go later". Not very...
As Bozza reminded me on a different, related thread, the club have said that they are reducing the size of the tier 2 band to make it more likely that those who have the highest level of points will be able to purchase... I'll dig out the quote and edit this post.
Edit: here it is...
The...
To be fair, Bozza picked me up on this point a couple of weeks ago - the club's official term is now "Season Ticket Holder Points" - colloquial usage has remained LP, including a couple of references by the club itself, not least a link on the front page of the ticketing website inviting users...
Umm, but in order to have different levels of loyalty points such that you can go now but your family member can't must mean that you've been to at least a few away games alone previously, no?
Ha. Fair point!
I would hope the answer is "no, they can't", but I do still think that the issue is probably moot.
There must be someone who owns a block of 1901 seats as a business on here... anyone?
Ah. Corporate is a different thing though. I'm buying 6 corporate tix for Chelsea away on Boxing Day (long story!) - that's totally outside the Albion loyalty scheme; I'm buying them direct from Chelsea.
Have you been given a standard away ticket for a game where the owner of the 1901 seat that...
That seems an unlikely scenario for a business when we were in the Championship, but not impossible. As I say, I don't know the answer to your question.
Edit: Hang on - I missed something! If they've always been doing it in prior seasons, then I'd assume they'd be able to do it this season too...
I don't know (my ticket is a single, personally bought one). It's a good question. It's probably moot though: if they haven't been to any away games previously, they'd only have the LP for a max of 6 Amex seasons = 180 LP. I think I'm right in saying that that wouldn't have been anywhere near...
Exactly this, plus one further, imo: close the loopholes/eliminate ambiguity in the scheme's rules. Say precisely what you mean, don't contradict yourself, and be clear.
