The RBL doesn't just look after those injured in conflicts, but any veteran. For instance, I have a chronic illness, and if I needed help, I could apply for something.
Say for instance I lost my mobility, I could apply for a grant for a stairlift, or a mobile scooter etc.
The Royal British Legion approves of the commercialisation of their appeal. They licence many products, such as poppy scarves, necklaces, earrings, rugby shirts, cups etc etc.
The income from paper poppies nowhere near covers the money they need to care for veterans, so they had to branch out...
We're not doing it. The pins are being sold by the Royal British Legion from their website poppyshop. You can buy lots of different poppies, not just Premier League teams.
Our goalkeeper was killed in WW1. Pom Pom Whiting. There are others engraved on the memorial in the Memorial garden at the Amex.

That is for the normal paper poppies, where you put your donation in the box. These are metal pins, and having seen the veterans who work at the RBL factory making these, it's worth every penny.
Stick to the paper poppies if you don't want to buy one of these.
