Highlighting that you have more money than sense is not breaking news.
You must unlearn what you have learned. Being the one with the older phone makes you a better individual than the muppet that feels the need to constantly upgrade.
Good.
At the risk of being mean, grow up!
Ah, sorry :( It's just that you're supposed to be our leader and lead by example, we don't care if others on this thread are daft.
I can't be the only one that finds this a little upsetting. I know you won't like it, you're too down to earth, but I'm going to get a crowd fund started for you.
Well it makes a huge difference what phone you have. Try the latest iOS on an iPhone4, it's quite painful. You need a reasonable phone (doesn't need to be expensive) and to clear away stuff you don't need, streamline it etc. You can also put a custom launcher on it, like Nova, so you don't have...
That's a bit optimistic:
https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/j5geby/the-iphone-is-guaranteed-to-last-only-one-year-apple-argues-in-court
"in court, Apple argues that it is only responsible for ensuring the iPhone lasts one year, the default warranty you get when you buy an iPhone"
We weren't comparing the £1k iPhone X with a £100 phone that's vastly inferior, we were comparing it with the flagship Samsung which has similar specs, yet the iPhone is something like 70% more expensive. The iPhone X vs the Samsung S8 is 2017 flagship vs 2017 flagship of the top two brands...
Well firstly, I don't know if they did have a £33k electric car, because there wasn't a media circus about it. Was there a thread on here? Secondly, is that far more expensive than a similar car by a rival brand?
Maybe because the media event around releasing the iPhone is bigger than announcing another BMW. The release is all over social media (NSC for example), and generally people over social media are gushing over the release, so of course you're going to get some saying they don't get it.
Imagine...
Exactly, you've got a decent phone already, no need to spend a fortune upgrading.
iPhones presumably hold their value better than the competition, but that's no saying much. Tech products are quickly outdated and lose a lot of value. Anyone want to buy my 4s for £40, it's mint.
That's not an alternative. What iPhone can you sell for decent money? If you've got a 6 (which is already nice enough), you'll do well to clear £200. So you have a decent phone and need to pay £800 for a different decent phone. As I say, for rich/stupid people. And no complaints from me if...
