:shrug: I wasn't actually joking :) It is probably more lucrative stepping in to save Prem clubs over 5 months than having long term contracts. All he has to do is sit around for the next club in trouble which does look like it could be Palalce.
If Allardyce was still there I would be concerned about finishing above palarse tbh, but with a new manager who doesn't know the players who knows what can happen? They may turn out a class act or they may implode.
Karanka said he was going to quit before they were promoted. He fell out with his players and went on strike for a game or two, and said he was going to quit at the end of that season so I am surprised he left it as late as he did.
