Hard to argue that what we have at present is woefully short of good enough. TB will know it too, we have no choice but to spend big, whatever noises the club are making about not going mad on spending.
Nah, I reckon we are just playing hard ball and using the media to strengthen the message. I cannot belive that the club would let us do a Middlesbrough having taken so long to get here. That would be incredibly short sighted. Don't see it personally.
Reading between the lines in today's Argus it seems we are being primed for a lower key signing spree than some are hoping for. Interestingly the Argus now seems to be implying that the Abraham deal has slipped away too, having said, last week, that we were still hopeful even with Swansea...
It will be so disappointing to have eventually got to the Premier League if we don't go for it to stay there. I am always worried that we are a bit shite at attracting quality forwards. Luckily both Zamora and Murray really wanted to come here, I wonder if anyone is going to be quite so keen...
If it further weakens Leeds along with losing a good manager it might make Stockdale have second thoughts ( assuming he even had first ones) Anyway, anything that derails Leeds is OK with me
