I agree with a a lot of what you've said. However, I think Abraham will be more suited to the way we play. Potentially with one up top. This is why I'd rather take him. Plus Batshuayi is on 100k plus a week at Chelsea. It's Abraham for me, both footballing and monetary reasons.

As discussed this afternoon Marshy. He is also terrific at diving......partcularly v palace. :-) Signing a player that is even more instantly disliked than usual by Palace has to be a good move.

I don't see it as steep at all. He would be a starter 8 out of 10 games for me. You think that no clearly defined role is a disadvantage? He could play either wing or as a no.10. I'd say that was an advantage and made the 8m fee even more reasonable.

I think he is an excellent player and would be happy to have him. 8m doesn't seem like a huge sum of money to me assuming his wages are within reach.
