I remember this quite bizarre seminar.
The University at the time would take anyone at all. That was great by the way, It was fascinating to see these adult students (with no qualifications) from very working class backgrounds suddenly enlightened by reading about Marx or the English civil war...
You do get the urban educated Labour vote. It is quite easy to vote Labour if you are in a good job (because of your education) and voting for them is an expression of your political beliefs rather then your immediate needs.
May not obviously great, but the Tories have had some shocking leaders since Thatcher.
It should be a walk in the park for them. Roll on up run the country like a business. In good times the coffee machines grind their own beans, in bad times you get a sachet of Nescafe.
Unfortunately they are...
Brexit vote was always gonna be close. Remain win should mean we are staying around, but your system needs massive reform. Leave, ok we can't trust you to reform but lets leave nicely.
It looks to me that the electorate doesn't partucularlu want Corbyn to negotiate us out but it definately...

Get rid of the nutjob shadow chancellor and Abbot, reach out to the middle ground Labour MPs and job done.

Works for me and her every year as she always seems to win.
I was there too. I lived there at the time.
In fact if the first bomb went off (the one everyone forgets) I wouldn't be typing this. I lived down the road from the gas works.
I was very very shocked at the time. Made it all real for me.
But I've read my history. The reality is (at stated...
Yes with Unions but with left of Labour more to do with the dilution of the sovereignty of parliament.
I stand by my point that I blame Brexit more on the Urban educated liberals (of which I am one) than I do the "right".
Quite happy to take advantage of "capitalism" whilst viewing the EU as...
Well who would put their money on this one.
It's sort of like the play offs except you can end up with two going up.
I struggle to vote (booo) because I've always lived in very safe seats. There are STILL people who vote for the eventual winner (The PM), end up with a different MP and still...
