Yes I would have expected better....for some to put themselves in the frame, and for others to get more Cup game time by getting to the 5th round But embarrassed? Nope. I have come to regard the FA Cup as the Club do. It's taken me a while but nowadays I'm really not bothered.

As embarrassed as Newcastle today....i.e. not at all. There's a mismatch between how supporters view the Cup and how Clubs looking for promotion see it. It's an opportunity to play your squad players. That's it.
