It is not a Nugent obsession I just think that he probably offers the best solution of affordable home grown players.
CH has belatedly solved the left back position next up is a support striker which he will do eventually.
I would like to sign an unknown from Eastern Europe as he was if we cannot sign an established uk based striker. I did notice Ulloa not in the squad this week but I do not think he is the answer as too similar to Murray and Hemed.
I would sooner look at David Nugent valued on transfermarket at £3.9m. Proven at this level time and again and I think that he would fit in well with both Murray and from the supply from Knockhaert.
Nugent would be a cheaper option and also proved at this level than many that will be mentioned and I would say a better option than Hogan who has a terrible injury record that should cause concern to anybody wanting to spend mega bucks.
Nugent is only 31 years old so not a has been.
If Nahki Wells is valued at £8m I would think Brentford would want nearer £10m for him or even more,so it is a no for me as I am sure there are better options in Eastern Europe Spain or Ital giving the same ability but cheaper. There is also history between both chairmen so he wouldnt be...
