Funny how many of these chancers seem to be members of Checkatrade, I know of someone that got stitched up like the lady you mention above with the kitchen.
Checkatrade did nothing to back up this lady but the installer carried on advertising on Checkatrade.
I've just got a price from a professional wall tiler for a shower cubical with 3 walls on one of my jobs.
Supply tiles, adhesive, grout ,plastic trim and the labour, total is £450, not expensive tiles but I've used this tiler many times and his work is very good.

One of my pet hates is tiled bath panels with no access to the pipe work, I've also seen floor tiles and laminate flooring fitted up to bath panels, the only way to remove the panel is to cut it.
I've also seen many MDF and timber bath panels stuck on with Gripfill...
And another point, why have a double sink? ( It's a basin, did I mention that ? )
If you have 3 bathrooms in your house surely 2 people don't need to wash/ clean teeth or whatever in the same room at the same time.

High pressure taps and showers sold to customers with low pressure systems.
Expensive pop up bath wastes sold that go wrong in no time at all, a quality waste plug and chain does the same job.
