Adekugbe apparently picked it up in the u23s 1-0 victory last night at the Amex v Fulham.
Duffy is fit and will be playing today with Dunk.
I suspect Uwe will be on the bench.
Tough. Hughton needs 4 first choice CBs in a season with 50+ games, often twice a week, no emergency loans and strong chance of injuries , suspensions and loss of form.
He's the manager. A rather good one. He'll manage it.
Or do you think we should only have 3 in case Uwe or Dunk or Goldson...
Was one of them "frozen" out last season when we had 4 defenders. Or were we relieved that we had Greer + 3 because we had injuries, suspension, changes in form.
or perhaps a £5m bid for Goldson or perhaps Uwe gets injured again
but the point is that Hughton has bought Duffy to join Uwe, Goldson, and Dunk as his 4 CBs for the season. He's not a replacement, they aren't going to go into the season with 3 CBs and they don't want Dunk to leave.
Thats what...
He literally has just said that he now has Dunk, Goldson, Uwe and Duffy as his four senior centre backs for 16/17.
A scenario that several posters find impossible to believe.
Yep. Its been asked a few times in this thread but to be clear he had a 1 match ban after the Cardiff match for 2 yellow cards.
He served it and stood out in Rovers draw v Burton on Saturday. He's available for tomorrow and (more than likely) will play.
Yes. He's available for the squad tomorrow. He almost certainly will play. He's more match fit than Uwe and played a full game on Tuesday night.
Back four tomorrow will presumably be Bong, Dunk, Duffy, Bruno with Uwe/Adekugbe ? being the only fit (ish) defenders on bench and Rosenior being...
Can Hughton be any clearer that he wants Dunk, Uwe, Goldson and Duffy to be his four Centre Backs for 16/17.
"He's a very good defender, and alongside our existing options he now gives me four quality, senior options for the two central defensive positions."

They aren't desperate.
They're looking to strengthen their squad and have been signalling this all summer.
He's clearly been their #1 target
It won't be £4.5m unless all the add ons are met (ie: we get promoted etc)
its possible but what is implausible is that Burke had *nothing* to do with any of the players that have had long term careers and arrived during his tenure and were "successes" (lets say Ulloa, Stephens, Baldock, Stockdale etc) and everything to do with the perceived failures (lets say COG...
Duffy, 24, has made 101 Champ appearances for Blackburn and Yeovil.
Ince, 23, has made 82 appearances for Albion and Fulham
Duffy has also appeared in the Europa League, the finals of the Euros for Ireland and has made 5 appearances in the Prem League for Everton.
Ince hasn't been a regular...
*wish it didn't have to be so binary when discussing merits of a manager, player, head of recruitment etc.
A lot of duffers were signed whilst he was here. Equally some good signings which he was responsible for, including Ulloa. (however much we'd been tracking him before he arrived)
Lancashire Telegraph a bit more cautious as to timetable of deal...just published.
"edging closer..fresh negotiations..£4.5m move...could ..make the switch... before the transfer window closes"
"BLACKBURN Rovers centre-back Shane Duffy is edging closer to a £4.5m move to Championship rivals...
What Andy Naylor said this morning. Looks like its accelerated. Can't see it done before Newcastle though.
"Albion’s link with unsettled Blackburn defender Shane Duffy is set to rumble on.
But The Argus understands suggestions the Seagulls were in negotiations over the Northern Ireland...
