    wasted? overacheived opportunist. if you can pin down his political objectives and personal ideology, then it could be considered a waste. i dont think he has any more than a inkling of wanting to "do something" in politics.

    i gather that he has had a soundbite attributed to him, from an group he has an association with. i cant tell if he actually ever said it. i'd be as much concerned with the association to a nutter religious group.

    to be fair, it isnt "her" bill, its the Home Office's, they've been reheating and trying to get it through various Home Secretaries for the last 15 years.

    this is spot on, why i love Boris, and why he'd be a terrible PM. or any other of the great offices of state, good Deputy PM material though.

    last thing you need in a leader is an expert. you need someone who can draft a consistent strategy, pull together a group of people and convince people of the merits of decisions when they are challenging. leave experts to run their field of expertise.
