wasted? overacheived opportunist. if you can pin down his political objectives and personal ideology, then it could be considered a waste. i dont think he has any more than a inkling of wanting to "do something" in politics.

or he doesnt and never has wanted to be the PM or leader? its only so much news paper pundit talk that suggests it was ever an ambition.

i gather that he has had a soundbite attributed to him, from an group he has an association with. i cant tell if he actually ever said it. i'd be as much concerned with the association to a nutter religious group.

to be fair, it isnt "her" bill, its the Home Office's, they've been reheating and trying to get it through various Home Secretaries for the last 15 years.

last thing you need in a leader is an expert. you need someone who can draft a consistent strategy, pull together a group of people and convince people of the merits of decisions when they are challenging. leave experts to run their field of expertise.

wouldn't it be funny (and expensive for you) if he didn't? i have always been unconvinced that he wants the job of PM, it would cramp his style.

surprised he running, as he's said before that he wasnt equiped to be a leader (thus making him probably most suitable), and had expected him to support Boris. split the vote makes sense, if he comes through the middle and wins, not a bad leader. i know he irks alot on the left but he's...
