Yep. Daft is the word. An action without reasoned logic. I'm certain if it wasn't Barton on the ball, Dunk wouldn't have made the tackle. He had little digs and swipes at him throughout the whole second half.
It wasn't vicious, two-footed or any other shocking description that other posters...
I'd suggest you colour in the glasses on your avatar a slightly more rose-tinted shade.
No one said two footed, no one said missing the ball completely, no one said booting Joey in the air.
But apart from that you are pretty spot on.
That's EXACTLY how I remember it. Barton was down by the West stand, Dunk needlessly swiped at him. Free kick given. Barton was going nowhere at the time.
Free kick whipped in, headed behind for a corner.
I turned to my mate and said "they will score from this".
Ball comes in, Keane heads it...
Yep. Take our friend Joey Barton. A seasoned Premier League trouble-maker. Barton wound him up with ease. It was Dunk who needlessly CLATTERED him, strolled away as if had "done a job" on young Joey, only for the free kick to lead to the corner they scored from.,
Barton had Dunks card marked...
But you've not watched all the other centre backs in this league as much as Dunk........so your opinion is based on only snippets you've seen.......which was your exact criticism of CPFC G....
I've also watched a lot more games.....and I agree with him.
The needless and stupid second yellow against Derby, meaning he was suspended for one of the biggest games in Brighton's history was one example.
For a team from a TERRIBLE area, with a HORRIBLE stadium and a HORRENDOUS individual managing them, NSC's decision to criticise their signing of an excellent striker who will definitely score goals seems quite an odd one in context.
Because he doesn't suit their style of play in any way, shape or form.
He will suit Palace's 100%. A lot of money, yes. But for Palace this is one heck of a potential signing.
