Apparently they withdrew some trains today for maintenance. Which makes sense as it certainly couldn't have been done over the last 3 days when they have sat around in the depot doing sweet **** all. Grateful I am not going to London today.

They don't. No one does on that line. It is buggered pretty much constantly.

And are more expensive, less reliable and far less comfortable.

That really is going some. The trouble is when it gets that late, they terminate the train at Crowborough and turn it round back to London. Meaning a lovely wait for those of us who actually want to get the train to where it said it was going.
