Not an option for me unfortunately, being as I'm watching it on a moody stream.
If I can steer clear of beeerage / red wine, then there's a chance I'll see it through. I'm pulling for the Cubs too.
I watched the first three innings last night, wow what a game. MONUMENTAL foul-up in deep RF contributed to a 3-0 Cubs lead in the 1st, then Tomlin loads the bases in the 3rd and gets hooked, Otero inherits the mess and gives up a grand slam homer on his second pitch for 7-0. FANTASTIC...
Yes, I'd heard rumblings about that. And it'd probably be a couple of the crappier MLB teams who'd play a series there, so there's a reasonable chance the Twins would come over. In which case, I'd be all over that like white on rice.
Its such a wonderful sport. I'm a recent-ish convert, last 3-4 years or so. And now, having made my pilgrimage to see the Twins play at Citifield NY, and then Target Field MN, it is firmly embedded in my heart. One of the greatest live sporting spectacles you could ever wish to see.
My missus...
I happened to be at that game when the complete clusterfvck happened with the (attempted) intentional walk. It was a young reliever from the bullpen, Pat Light, and it happened at the top of the 9th with the Twins trailing 3-2. What that clip DIDN'T show was that someone for the Tigers actually...
Just a horrible season for the Minnesota Twins, the worst in their history since they moved to Minneapolis from Washington in '61.
A highly respectable 200 home runs though, with a swashbuckling 42 from Brian Dozier, and a total of 11 different players hitting 10+ homers for the season (no...
Some Chelsea players were at Target Field yesterday taking in the game (a 6-4 win over the White Sox). They're playing a friendly against AC Milan in Minneapolis this weekend at that UNBELIEVABLE new Minnesota Vikings stadium. Its the first sporting event there, kind of a ramp-up I suppose. I'm...
Given the complete and utter TRAIN-WRECK of a season the Twins are having this year, I've been steering well clear of this thread. But how about filing this under "it'd never happen in England". The Twins were due to start their match vs the Oakland A's at 7.10pm last night. Severe thunderstorms...
The links have changed a couple of times while I've skiffed about during this rain delay (covers are on again now, ugg). The HD ones were there earlier but seem to have gone for now. But the SD ones are stable and decent anyway. Perfectly happy with that.
I've had a little fish around while I'm waiting on this rain delay and so far, none of the MLB streams have failed.
You don't *have* to get a Firestick btw. I'm watching it on on my laptop. I installed Kodi on it, and just used a Wizard to download a bunch of add-ons, one of which was one that...
The Twins had a surprisingly good season last year, chasing a wildcard spot right up to the final few games and finishing on .512 with 83 wins. They're not going to top the Royals in the ALC, but I'm optimistic of them topping their 83 wins and pushing for a wildcard again. Eddie Rosario had a...
ANYONE can just blindly pick most of the top ranked players.
It takes a special kind of idiocy to remain loyal to the hopeless lunks who make up your own team
