I think that's right. It's normally 6 hours difference to Central Time, but the clocks don't change in North America until this weekend, so it will only be 5.
I'm a bit annoyed I missed the 10th innings. It was gone midnight when they went off for rain.
The rest of the game was compelling viewing though. When the Indians game back in the 8th, I thought the Cubs were done for.
What a CRACKING season  I'm sad that it's over.
What a game. Blue Jays win it 7-6 in the bottom of the tenth, after public enemy number one Odor makes an absolute SHAMBLES of a double-play attempt.
3-0 series sweep :clap2:
Bring on the ALCS. I'm a happy man
There's the American League and the National League, each split into 3 divisions East, West, Central (Jays play in AL East). These leagues remain completely separate until the final (World Series).
So, using American League example:
The winner of the AL East, AL West, AL Central get a play-off...
The Loose Moose is a good choice for somewhere to watch a Jays game. Decent beer and the food is good too.
You've picked a great weekend to visit. As you say, it's a bit quieter than usual, and the weather is great. I'd recommend heading to King Street West (west of University Ave)...
Jays win 5-3 in game 2 to take a 2-0 lead in the series. A much more nervous finish than yesterday but I'll take that
Be nice to wrap things up on Sunday at the Roger's Centre.
I think I've got things sorted. Half my team (including my boss) are working from home tomorrow, so I'll either do the same or just leave early. Then we're going to the pub for the dev manager's 50th birthday lunch on Friday, and he likes baseball
We do look strong in terms of...
Yes, there's going to be emotions flying whatever the outcome.
WTF is the deal with the start times though?
Thursday 4.30pm ET (3.30pm in Texas)
Friday 1pm ET (12pm in Texas)
I don't get it
Nervous times for Jays fans. They threw away a lead against the Orioles on Wednesday going into the 9th, then lost again yesterday to level things up in the wildcard race. I don't fancy our chances in Boston either.
Detroit have a game in hand after a storm called off their game yesterday. They...
What a finish to the game. 1-1 going into the bottom of the 8th and the Jays snatch the lead, only for the Yankees to turn it around to 3-2 at the top of the 9th. Then the Jays go and score 2 more for a walk-off 4-3 win. They had more men on base too.
It's been an absolutely CRACKING series...
Annoyingly, I was in Seattle at the weekend but had to come back before the Jays series started. I saw so many people in Jays hats around the city so I can understand the turnout. I guess that's the advantage of having ONE baseball team for the whole of Canada, any game near the border is going...
I'm getting nervous. The Jays were so close to a series sweep in Seattle last night, to put a bit of a gap in the wildcard standings. Two on base with only one out in the top of the 12th innings, messed it up then the Mariners scored in the bottom half of the innings.
