I am not a fan of counter attacking at home aw ay yes but not at home, although it worked yesterday I am more in favour of putting constant pressure on the opponents.
Nobody is disputing we could have had 6 or 7 goals what is disputed is the fact that some people are saying that Brentford didnt get near enough to score. My heart was in my mouth a few times.
Ok I will amend that to the latter stages of the game rather than exactly the last 10 mins but they were all chances that they could have scored with. Nobody is saying they had many but 1 may have been enough to give them a lift and my point is had one of those chsnces gone in the whole...
When DS went down injured and the ref mysteriously gave a corner that could and should have been on target at least and then a chance came down by DS right hand post where a header went across the goal a yard from the line instead of at the goal this eventually went out for a thrown I think...
Lets get this sorted out I am not moaning and thought 3-0 was a deserved result but at 2 -0 with 10 mins to go they were pressing and could/should have scored, had they got a goal with 10 mins to go anything could have happened. Their spirits would have been lifted and ours may have dipped...
I am not denting that he got the tactics spot ion but it was a bit heart in the mouth at the end which you didnt seem to feel until Murphy broke away and sealed the 3 points.
I honestly thought it was just a matter of time before they would score in the last 10 mins as we hung on yes we had chances but the majority went to Brentford and if not for a very bad miss and a few last ditch tackles could have got a goal.
I wish I had your confidence as it looked just a matter of time before they would score and if they had scored who knows what might have happened but due to good fortune and last ditch tackles and clearances we survived before Murphy ran away to score.
