There's a huge difference between what was being spent and what was spent this summer.
I doubt those figures are within a negotiable framework, esp with Tony
Very true but I don't imagine Tony is prepared to flirt with relegation again.
So once survival was secured whoever the manager was...
and you know all of that for a fact, do you?
Are you actually saying Tony with held money from Burke because he didn't ask for it nicely?
Tony must have been pooping himself at the prospect of relegation.
The club lost so much money last season.
A la Poyet and his arrival, Hughton has rolled...
Once again you can't say that, because that Director of Football wasn't given the same financial backing as the current set up.
It's possible (granted unlikely) that the other way round you'd currently be singing Burke's praises.
Had Burke not been employed until last Christmas having taken...
Oh there's a 100 & 1 mistakes we can put squarely on the shoulders of DB.
You don't get sacked on Christmas eve because you were 'not quite good enough'.
But there's the issue with how much money, and then the issue with what was done with it.
Clearly DB picks up pretty much all of the blame...
Unless Burke was giving Tony a sack load of 'change' back after every window, saying 'look how much I've saved' the problem was higher than DB.
If you give your Director of Football Chris O'Grady money 99 times out of 100 he's going to sign Chris O'Grady quality.
Adding all of the outlay...
