Could do.. Seems a very nasty / distasteful way of doing business the way his agents touted him everywhere. We all know there was interest & we know someone from the club even flew out there so we must have thought we had a chance... Who knows..?

The deal was clearly never definately on otherwise all the links to other clubs etc wouldn't have happened 20 million times. Doesn't mean we won't still get him of course, but never seemed likely :(

It's because he scored one of those wanky ' rabona' (or whatever the kids call it) goals in a video - people lap up that sort of thing. Personally I think it's one of the most stupid things to do on a football pitch - you've got 2 feet just kick it as normal and stop being a flash ****... :lol:

Yeh true - What else has this fella got correct? (Don't include the Zamora thing pls as that was done a thousand times at the time and it seems people were all getting passed the same info that proved incorrect on timings of signing). It seems this wedgee has a good record previously though?
