Interesting thanks. I doubt there is any interest now but you do wonder if he played in a different team with a CF whether he could've made an impact with us.
About a 1000 pages on NSC says we did lol. In reality who knows? But we were certainly linked in a number of places over a considerable period of time. I think the balance of probability is that we did have discussions at least.
I'm conflicted about this one. Didn't do much at West Ham for sure, but a couple of things do go in his favour.
1. First season in English football.
2. Didn't ever seem to get a run at West Ham appearances were fleeting, out of position and in teams without Carroll or anyone who could take...
Difficult 1st year at West Ham, gets used to English football kicks on in the 2nd? We have to think outside the box where strikers are concerned because we won't be able to afford the best. Not sure if this is too far outside of the box for them to shoot though...
This surely cannot have more than 48 hours left in it either way now? If no one has managed to provide them with another option surely Calleri either accepts our deal or it is withdrawn? We cannot hang around for the rest of the month waiting and if we are prepared to pay him 1.1m euro a year so...
Surely if they had any intention of accepting our offer they would've by now? As far as we know it's been on the table for weeks and yet all the parties continue to try and find another one. There must be a point where we say enough is enough...
As soon as the deadline expires we should walk away. Calleri is touting himself around looking for a better deal, he is within his rights to do that, but we are within our rights to look elsewhere. If we don't this could string on for the rest of the month and we might miss out on strengthening...
Surely if his agent is trying to find him another destination it doesn't suggest he's very interested does it?
If you are Johnny boy, I'm very sorry and welcome to the club. :D
He's either already signed or isn't coming IMO. I cannot see us in negotiations against Inter and Bolonga, Wages alone would surely rule that out if there is any truth in this it's already done and has been for some time...
Decent though Rosenior has been at LB another decent natural Left Back would be a sensible move at this point IMO.
I'd like a loan striker now, but only if they have the quality to make a real difference.
First one was arguable but did you really think we had any chance of going up the second time?
More importantly, come the start of the January transfer window we are likely to be better placed than in either of those seasons
All eleven positions need strengthening always have always will.
A striker should be number one priority though a greater threat in the final third would be useful not just for the obvious reasons of more goals etc but also to take some of the pressure off the defence and midfield. Both of...
