Disagree entirely. Decent Aussie teams have failed to grind us into the ground over here. As I said, Waugh's team did but that was an exceptional team. Lillee and Thomson you say? They played just two series over here - 11 games - W 2. L3, D 6. - their record in England wasn't that exceptional...
I wouldn't have called them bang average - their number 3 and 4 batsmen both have averages above 50 and two of their pace attack have averages below 30. They're not the Windies of the mid-80s or Waugh's Aussies but they're a useful team
