Well no it isn't easy for me to say. I am apalled at my current government's reaction to the refugee crisis and wish it would do much more.
This is why I am advocating a rehash of the un convention to find a global solution.
You seem to think that I am asking the UK to sort this problem alone...
I think we all need to help solve this global problem. I have moved from one country effected by it to another and I think both have a duty to do their bit, along with all others. My location has nothing to do with my opinion.
Don't get cross sweetheart. When people stop posting threads complaining about immigrants and refugees like everything is their fault I'll stop posting on them (you'll notice I rarely if ever start threads on this subject). Hows that for a deal? Until then I am going to keep posting about a...
I know that is what you think SM. But I disagree entirely. This is part of a global problem that needs a global solution it will not be solved by nations looking after their own interests and disregarding everyone else.
Would love to. Bit short on water here though (there is always something isn't there)
Seriously though, I am trying to do exactly that because i think that we have a responsibility to do our share to solve a global problem. Sadly there is bi partizan agreement here that we should do all we can...
Yes i read it (twice), and i stand by my post.
Are you going to kick out anybody who leaves their wife in danger too or is your indignation only reserved for foreigners?
What about people who put their wives in danger? are you going on a deportation crusade against domestic violence?
agree entirely which also brings us back to the fact that the UK take half as many applications as the French and maybe they think it is only fair to send a few more over the channel.
It also states that a person cannot be denied Asylum on the basis that they have passed through another safe state. it is up to the recipient of the application to decide if to send that applicant back to the original country. My understanding is that this doesn't happen often due to the...
Well you are right about one thing I have no idea what you are on about? What is the problem with the application process?
last time i looked about 40% of asylum seekers did not have their applications processed even after an appeal. Seems like a system doing a reasonable job in difficult...
I don't think making assumptions based on what you see on the news is going to be that useful. There must be a massive variety of people in a wide range of situations among those people so we are not really able to tell.
Perhaps they could be processed to find out the validity of their claims...
