Benzema, Ronaldo, Lewindowski, Kane would suggest otherwise.
It’s not about set pieces, it’s about delivery, and options when the ball is out wide. Currently, our stock move is to get to the by-line and cut it back to the penalty spot, as the targets are so limited.
But it reduces your option if you have no height whatsoever, and consequently is more easy to defend against.
Obviously for what we would be paying the points you make are a given

Depends what you aspire to.
If our goal is to be a top 10 team, then he will need to step up, as will the midfield.
If 8 out of the top 10 teams has a forward with at least 13/14 or above, there’s your answer.
Murray got 13 the season before and arguably we were a lot less offensive.
If I...
A game would have been a start. There is such a thing as getting into good habits regardless the fixture, furthermore there is the argument about getting injured by challenging in a half-hearted manner.
Not expecting him to go mad, but goodness me, do something......
You compare the effort...
No more myself. Thought he was quite poor for a spell. But there is no denying his class post lockdown. His only drawback, is his third or fourth touch when dribbling which is sometimes quite heavy. Did it again yesterday, and gave away a free-kick.
Funny to think we probably have three CB's...
There you go then. If #TeamslikeBurnley can do it, no reason why we can't.
We have a lot of ball in the last third, we need to start delivering, but part of that IMO is Maupay having a decent presence with him.
The Webster thing is beginning to bug me a little. Whilst admittedly I thought Webster was poor for a sustained period last season, when he came back post lockdown IMO, we really didn't have a more impressive player (Dunk included), he was outstanding.....
Hopefully everyone will be objective...
I don't think so, think they are quite similar in many ways.
Though that said, they did well against Tottenham, but after that never really clicked for me.
I just think the goal Maupay scored vs Southampton showed the type of striker that Maupay works better with.
Missed some very presentable ones as well. I actually do expect more than 10, yes.
For a team like us 14 - 16 is a good effort, that's why I said promising, he needs a decent partner and also needs to commit to his runs more.
Don’t think we’ve covered ourselves in glory since hitting the PL though.
Even Maupay is only okay for me, promising first season, nothing more. I think he would benefit from a stronger partner.

100% it would be.
But if we don’t, Potter needs to open his eyes and at the very least start Murray for 2-3 games with Maupay.
Our lack of options when in attacking positions is crazy.
Offensively, I just don’t see much alternative at the moment, as Connolly is too similar to Maupay in...
