You are almost certainly right but the fact that we actually sign so few first team players probably leads to cynicism from some of us. Most of our signings seem to be development players these days. Having had so much ambition when the Amex opened and getting so close, it's pretty disappointing...

Sadly it does show the current difference in ambition. One club is willing to go to 5 million for a teenager, the other is looking for players on the cheap from a club in complete disarray. Oh well in 5 years we may pass Bournemouth going the other way..maybe, assuming the Russian loses interest.
