    Saw a range of " Xmas " potatoes in Wyvale Garden Centre in Ferring a few weeks ago, I think they were pretty pricey at about £3.99 for 10 tubers. Besides, who need New Potato's for Christmas ? you can't roast the things anyway.

    Struggling a little this year, Jalapeno's are slow, Joe's Long are slow too.I have some first year Aji pickled Frogs that are producing fruit but not many but my Bird's Eyes are not too bad. Trouble is I love pickling the Jalapeno's and this year I may not have enough to do even one batch.

    Forget what I said earlier BG, Just popped in to The Range and they are knocking out potted assorted herbs at 3 for a fiver.

    Can be quicker and more productive to but those potted herbs and pot on in bigger pots. Chives and Parsley will both grow well if thinned out and repotted in to larger pots. I would grow the likes of Thyme,Sage and Rosemary from seed as you will probably pay upwards of £2.99 for a pot plant from...

    I will willingly pass on any tips I can, but, I am no expert ! last years experiment with rooting cuttings from 1 year old Bird's Eye chillies was a partial success, as was overwintering Bird's Eyes and Jalapeno's . Looking to improve in both departments.
