There was a suggestion in the music press when Cream broke up that one of the reasons that Clapton and his ego were feeling threatened by the fact that the bass guitar in the band was taking away his lead guitar thunder. Probably bollocks but I found it interesting :smile:

That is a great call, love the bass line in that song. Money by Pink Floyd is another one with a great bass line, I just really hate the song though.

Always good to hear what other people rate too. NSC has such an eclectic taste in music. Often I hate what I hear, but it's worth it for the gems I wouldn't otherwise have stumbled across.

Greatest? Not sure. Most instantly recognisable? Probably, for those of a certain age.
