A flight of small military aircraft just passed Brighton west to east and then back again, in a tight formation.
From 4 miles away I haven't a clue what they were, Red Arrows?
The first prototype according to wiki flew in 1951, just 6 years after WW2, the era of Wellingtons/Lancasters (I realise B29’s too)!! Post war technology advanced at an incredible rate. A bit of a space age looker for a bomber imho.
A story I was previously unaware of, involving an RAF Valiant bomber.

Obviously a horrible period in history, but if I could time travel I’d love to be on the ground with a view of part of the Battle on 15 Sept 40. Goring sent over 1,120 warplanes, it proved to be a disaster against far fewer Allied fighters. The 1969 movie captures this I think.
RIP Squadron Leader Allan Scott. The 99 year had throughout WW2 flown Spitfires then Mustangs. A hero.
