Sunrise at Ditchling Beacon this morning..

One of my favourite walks takes me from Balcombe station through to Haywards Heath, and a good lunch at The Burrell. It takes in some endearing woodland as well as the Ouse Valley Viaduct and Ardingly Reservoir. Enjoyable in all weathers. Link and pictures...

Thanks for pointing that out. Why they cannot have a parking meter, I don't know. I did once ask why there were no rubbish bins up there, and was told that it would mean somebody going up there to collect them.

It's one of my favourite pieces of architecture. Your photograph is a common and iconic way of looking through it. I wrote a blog piece a while back that set out to ensure we place perspective on its place in the history books. I've put the link below for anyone who has time to read it...
