Ok, but this article does say that he gave Burke a list of players that he wanted, and left it to him to get players in. I can understand missing out on a few but to miss out on them all does seem way out of kilter.

Please post those alternative opinions to give a bit of balance.

I accept that Gus got players that he wanted but there is also wasting money in bringing in players that aren't wanted.

I'm more concerned about player recruitment wasting the budgets. Gus had players brought in that he didn't want and it seems that Oscar didn't get one player from his list.
