IF we play 1 up front sunday

I hope your right...just have a horrible feeling that they will settle, their crowd will be vociferous and we will be out of it by half time.

However there will always be an occasion where a manager will say to himself? he's not fully fit but my options are so limited that if i can get 30 minutes out of him,he has such quality,it's too good an opportunity to not have him on the bench, then yes i agree with that too.it's obvious.

IF we play 1 up front sunday

We all know players play with injury and some players go club to club throughout there careers carrying injury yet still play for respective clubs, they train until they can last at least an hour for the first team. a non match fit player would have to be able to last more than 30 minutes. But...

IF we play 1 up front sunday

If a player can only last 30 minutes then in my squad he would not warrant a place on the bench,i would not risk another injury. This would only apply to the first team.

If he is fit enough to be on the bench he can start, how long he lasts depends on his stamina at present, would also have if available Monakana on the bench too.

Maybe, but,i would be flexible enough to accomodate any scenario, i've bored myself on this subject and have moved to penalty saving goalkeepers on the other thread now. As a final note i believe both CMS and Ulloa should start today

IF we play 1 up front sunday

Barnes was the player, still he has gone,Hoskins (such a shame about him) for me seems a natural finisher and seems to have great positional sense, your right it is about who to play, funnily enough i think Buckley could be converted to a forward, but that detracts away from what i am really getting...

IF we play 1 up front sunday

Think this sums up what i am getting at- I do not say we have to play 4-4-2 a rigid system on paper, and personally the only time i would perhaps use that is in more of a defensive 4-4-1-1,still keeping 2 forwards on the field. Having 2 banks of 4 to defend..... All i am saying is 2 genuine...

So long as they don't vote with their feet. The goal that won us a place in this years play off's came with 2 strikers, and the penalty was won at Cardiff in 2004 by Chris linking up with Leon again 2 strikers.

Crikey to the minute, well if we want pace how about having Monakana on the bench, got to blood him at some stage

IF we play 1 up front sunday

Icy,i know what you mean,my thread is born out of frustration, and a willingness to either try something new tomorrow and go down fighting or not at all.... History will show we finished 6th a good season no matter what.

IF we play 1 up front sunday

I really must go now,her indoors wants to shop, but all of my posts very much are tongue in cheek,we need to out score the inevitable 1 they will score..

IF we play 1 up front sunday

I shall stand down now, there is no right or wrong only that what serves, our system works better away from home so perhaps i should have posted this earlier in the week, that said we are still in it and as others have said it could go either way... It comes down to players at the end of the day...

so we are going to wait for 60 minutes and then throw everything at them and as they are so good on the break they will still score....hmmmm a great way to carry on,something needs changing,if we are to progress.

IF we play 1 up front sunday

2 strikers? combined to score the goal....that's 2 strikers on the pitch at the same time
  18. GoldWithFalmer

IF we play 1 up front sunday

Yes it did but the really strange part was that it's obvious a partnership is already there, they would be great together..

IF we play 1 up front sunday

Nobody is saying hoof, being direct and playing the long ball can differ, direct can mean pressing, faster up the field or banging the ball into Ulloa's feet- We could as an example play 4-4-2 and play as an example,Bruno at fullback and Calderon in front of him, that way you save Buckley for sub...

IF we play 1 up front sunday

Well it's not quite what the title says, but i will accept and also that at some stage if we want to get promoted, then more than 1 up front will be on the pitch to try to make it happen at some stage tomorrow.
